every time I try to rip a dvd it gets to around 50 percent in states a cyclic redundancy check error. I know it's not the disk because I am able to rip the disk using a friends computer. What should I do?

    thanks

Got called away before I could finish my previous post :)

Are you and your friends burners the same model? Using the same software to rip? A CRC means the disc is dirty/scratched or there are corrupt files. Your friends burner may be able to read through better.
