When I try to split AVI files, I get the following message."Virtualdub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatability. This may introduce up to 17535 ms of skew from the video stream." If I press "OK", it splits them for me, but the audio/video sync is not right when completed. I would think maybe its the particular AVI, but it happens with every AVI I try it with. It didnt always do this, I used to be able to split with no problems. Can anyone help? Thanks

It's a known issue Vdub has, it's always the case when splitting avi files with VBR. This is why i encode all my video files CBR, i get perfect results every time. A very fast and simple app you can try is Avi Splitter from Boilsoft, dl the trial version and check it out. Good luck
