I just installed the Xecuter 3.0 in my Xbox v1.6B.
When I turn on my Xbox the original screen appears.
How can I check to make sure the chip was installed correctly? I triple checked all my solder points.
The X3 light on the front panel is not illuminated.
Could the X3 chip have the flash switch set to off?
Doe I need to flas the BIOS with Evox M8 now?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like your chip isn't booting to your bios, so check and then recheck your Do point.....this is crucial.

There is a wire for 5V connection. Did you do that wire? Without that wire, there is no power to the X3.

So nothing shows on your screen at all? try to hold the eject and power button down at the same time and then tell me what you see.

ok apparently the wire install pcb rebuild wasnt working...possibly a loose connection. I now installed the rebuild pcb that came with my X3 chip. All LED's light up...2 blue and one red. I tapped the power button and the xbox power cycled on and off 3 times before staying on with a red front panel light (X3 disabled). After hitting the power button on and off a few times i got the blue front panel (X3 enabled). I turned it off once more and now i cant get the X3 enabled again. X3 is switched to unprotect. The power light on the front is fragging red and green. I even tried holding the pwr and eject to backup and i dont even get the purple LED to light up. If i hold the pwr button for 2 secs the normal xbox screen appears. Tried all banks off on the front panel and also tried banks 1 and 2 on and 3 and 4 off. what could be the problem? is it something with the x3 install or my BIOS?
    ...any ideas?

Check your power switch board. Make sure you connect the yellow wire to the little switch board and the black wire to your mothboard.
Pressing the eject button should boot your x3... set your X3 switch to off (all four of them) you should boot into flashbios, a blue background screen

After 5 days of troubleshooting I finally got it working...persistence pays off...i was about to make my xbox into a projectile. I applied alittle more heat to the pcb solder points. One of them probably was making contact to give me a .000 continuity on my multimeter and when the mobo was placed back in the case the contact point was lost. Now im moving onto flashing my BIOS...thx to all that tried to help.
