i'm getting AC3 audio files from dvd2avi that when played in windowsmp sound very jumpy,2 seconds on 2 seconds off.any ideas?

settings for dvd2avi are as follows
    UNDER VIDEO:
Idct Algorithm = 32-bit sse mmx
    Field Operation = none
    Color Space = yuv 4:2:2
    YUV RGB = pc scale

    UNDER AUDIO:
    Track Number = track 1
Output Method = demux all tracks
Dolby Digital Decode = drc - normal
    48 41.1khz = off

    UNDER HELP:
SIMD Technology = mmx + sse mmx
    Direct Show Overlay is ticked
    VFAPI Plug-in is ticked

is there another way to rip an ac3 from the vobs?

    thanks in advance
