I have an asus p4p800 deluxe with 1 gb pc 3700 ddr ram. I encountered this problem with my floppy drive. It stopped working and told me the same thing for every disk I put in , it read this "error disk not formatted , do you want to format - yes or no" It also said some kind of I\O error. Now with that in mind, I installed a USB floppy which works fine in other computers but gave me the same error on mine. What could be causing the problem, I rescently installed a fresh copy of Windows XP and still same problem. I need the floppy to upgrade the bios on my board through DOS. Please help

    1. You can flash the bios with a CD
    2. Check that the floppy cable is plugged in and plugged in the RIGHT way
    3. Did you accidentally enable Drive A/B swap in BIOS?
    4. Get a new floppy drive! i.e., goto a university/highschool they give them away!
