I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem. I have some home videos which I converted to avi format using Archos 480. I'm now trying to convert those AVI files to DVD format using the above software. When I select a file I want to convert and try to covert it, the speed drops from around 0.99x to about 0.07x and even in one case to 0.03x. the FPS also drops from around 30 to around 3. I tried to convert a clip which was an hour and a half and it took absolutely ages (I mean 24 hours and it only showed as half done). The speed dropped to 0.03x and a couple of frames per second. This does not seem normal behaviour could anyone please advise what I'm doing wrong. The spec of my computer is a P4 3GHz, 1GB RAM, 40GB free disc space. Have tried both versions of the software 0.5.1 and 0.5.2. I'm just at a complete loss.
hmmm... well divx to dvd wont even convert AVI files... all it says is does that mean i need to download some codec?
