I recently upgraded my 104 to 1.41 firmware and now it will only right at 1x. Has this happened to anyone else and if so what is the way to solve the issue (assuming there is one!)

I've upgraded the 104 to 1.41 but received no adverse problems, but I have heard this before and it appears to be particular types of discs. Only solution really is to change discs until a new firmware fixing the problem is released.

Yeah thats what I've done. I've changed to the new Datawrite 4x (overkill that I cant use) and their fine at 2x. I've been told by a dealer that Ritek are stopping production on anything less than 4x media so it might be time to upgrade to a 105.
