Hello all. I'm having this problem with nero vision express 3. Everything transcodes and burns just fine and I even get the "dvd burned successfully" message. When I insert dvd into dvd player, a message that says: "bad dvd" appears. I'm totally puzzled. I burn at 4x and use taiyo yuden 8x silver media. I have a Liteon internal with the latest firmware. I will get the model for you later tonight. Sorry, I forgot to mention it's an avi file. Thanx in advance. Maybe this will help you with the model number; the latest firmware is LL06. Unfortunately, I'm at work at the moment. I will get back to you guys asap. Laters
Hi pstamer Try playing back the disc in the pc and see if it's just a problem with the player. By chance is this say in PAL format and you're in NTSC area? Getting any pop in Vision saying something like mostly in pal format do you want to keep this format? You can post the last Nero log too and we can take a peek. edit: typos
@pstamer I am fairly new to dvd burning but I made an observation - does your stand-alone-dvd-player accept AVI format? if not reburn the AVI to dvd-acceptable Mpeg (it has a number like 2 or something sorry for vagueness) heaps of guides hope you have luck if you are trying to play AVI alot of dvd-players are not compatible. Binkie7 we keep crossing paths lol. if my answer doesn't help Pstamer Binkie7 will help you no prob
Hey sorrow93 You can always a hand too. Plus it's that time again early morning here(just by 9 mins though) So off I go...
@binkie7 goodnight to you just repeating what you have said we're all in different time zones around the world Pstamer so excuse any delays from us I might not be back online till tomorrow my answer surely cannot be that simple but you made me think when you said AVI because some new dvd-players play AVI whilst the majority do not that might explain the "bad dvd" message but if you have already converted the AVI then I feel pretty stupid. hope you get back to us cheers
Hey guys and gals. Sorry I didn't get back to you right away;work has been hectic. I've solved my problem by using convertxtodvd. Works like a charm. I might stick to using this for a while. Thanx for the help. Laters.
