Hey guys, my ps2 is getting the cannot read disk error. Its a version 3. Has anyone instaled a laser lense into there ps2 before? Is it incredibly difficult? Im trying to figure out if i want to buy a used ps2 or get a brand new laser lense. Thanks guys

After paying for the laser and paying someone to install it, it's prob cheaper to get a new console.

Do a google on installing lasers and if you feel you can do it, go for it; if you just have to pay for the laser it will be cheaper than buying a new ps2.

When my laser died I just got a new console, I couldn't be stuffed learning how to install it and if it goes wrong (the install) all sorts of bad stuff can happen and the ps2 will be even worse than when you started.

Just do a google mission and see what you can come up with.
