    Hi guys, sorry for being a complete n00b, but I (along with my friends) have developed a problem today. I have a *view box, I think it's a clone (18x7 vents) and sometime today most of the channels stopped working. When I put on, for example, Sky Sports, it says 'Updating' and gives a percentage that goes past 100% and into the thousands (if left on long enough). I've read that N*L codes changed today, is it the same situation for us Irish Ch*rus cable users? Any help would be truly appreciated.

    The info on my box is as follows:

    ST*R VI*W
    API ver :4.00e_E
    Boot ver :7.0
    7.Jun.2007

    Regards,

    G.

    Thanks a lot mate.

    I got the codes off another thread to fix my current problem, but I'll look to change my firmware like you advised as well.

    You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

    Count the vents on top

    18x7 = Clone
    25x7 = Genuine
    13x7 = 1st Generation

    Also you can go here to see some pics
    http://www.freewebs.com/dooby2oon

    All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

    You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link.

    You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.
    You will need version 2.57_FIXED firmware for CLONES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.

    My sincerest apologies, ma'am *tips hat*.

    Unfortunately my problems continue. The GTROMLoader only goes up to COM4, whereas my USB Serial port is COM9, so I'm unable to flash.

    D'oh!
