problems burning AVI files with Toast (after encoding process fininshed = crashes)

i have tried several different AVI files (of many different sizes) and whenever Toast gets finished encoding the AVI file, when it should start burning the DVD, i get a "MAC OS ERROR - code = -50" and I have to force quit out of the program.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have been able to burn mpeg files fine with toast so i don't think it's my burner (which is in a brand new G5)
