I'm SO NEW with these rippers etc... I've tried to read all the possible guides, forums and glossary and I just can't find the answers so..

I ripped a DVD to my hard drive by DVD Decrypter (in order to burn it to CD/DVD) and it created 3 files with extensions .I00 , .I01 and .MDS . What are these? The guide says I should burn a file with an extension .DVD but it doesn't exist! Is there something that I don't understand or do wrong?

Then another stupid? question.. do I have to burn the movie with DVD Decrypter or can I just use for example Nero 6 instead? Which one do I need to choose and why: DVD-Video/VCD/SVCD?

i am assuming from your post that you have nero.....if so good as everything else you'll ever need is free!!!!!!!

download DVD Shrink this will allow you analyse the dvd, then if neccessary you can cut out any extra's you dont want on the final product.

you can then use either shrink or decrypter to burn your blank dvd.

you can find all the info you need at the guides tab at the top of the page

good luck and welcome to the club
