    I've converted the AVI to MPG format and extracted the audio to MP3. When I use IfoEdit v0.96 I find WinXP gives me an error as soon as the process starts and closes the program.

    The MPG file shows in Bold but the audio file shows in Greyed out.

    This is the second movie I've tried to encode to VOB after going through the long process of converting with TMPGEnc.

    I did notice that when adding my files to IfoEdit the Video files ask for M2V format and the Audio anything but the MP3.

    Where am I going wrong? Iam new to this so any help will be appreciated. BTW I did use the guide in this site to do this converting process.

    If you had used TMPGEnc Plus then you would have a .m2v file + .wav file

    I read sometime ago that IFOedit 0.96 doesn't like WinXP to much , dunno how true that is (but heard it caused puter to crash - d'oh) !:S

    (I have an alternative method , if you wish to hear it)?

    Okay :)

    [bold]MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.4[/bold]:
    Very straight forward to use , I use these settigs but if you are in US then you would change to NTSC format;
    [bold]DVD
    PAL
    Program [/bold] (Video+Audio)
    [bold]Layer2[/bold]

    That will take a couple of hours , but compared to all others it is a lot quicker at encoding.

    [bold]TMPGEnc DVD Author[/bold]
    Point DVD Author at the MPEG2 file you created with MainConcept;
    [bold]Add Chapters
    Create Menu(s)[/bold]

    When (after about 40-50minutes) it is finished you'll have VOB/BUP/IFO files ready for burning in DVD-Mode (VIDEO_TS folder)
