    Greetings

I have made VCD's from DVD's no problem but seem to have trouble when creating a VCD from a DivX Avi (I'm using Tmpgenc). When the mpeg has been encoded, it plays ok but it seems to jerk at regular intervals (I think it may be doubling up on a frame every 25 or so)

Has anyone had this problem before when encoding divx AVI's into Mpeg's (i'm doing PAL VCD's)

I assume you have source which is 24fps or 29.97fps (as in NTSC) and you're changing that to 25fps (as in PAL), which definately causes issues. Try to see if your DVD player supports NTSC playback for VCDs (and either your DVD changes that to PAL or your TV supports NTSC already like most modern Euro-TVs do) and create NTSC VCD instead of fighting against windmills.
