    Hi,
I try to play back my DVDs from a laptop (XP Home Edition) and watch the movie on a TV set. The funny thing is that the movie including the subtitles are visible on my laptop, but on TV I only see the movie.
I play my DVDs with Windows Media Player 9.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Try hitting the subtitle button on your DVD player remote control. It will then alternate between subtitles.. :)

If you question is the other way around and you want to turn off subtitles in media player then I don't know why but first you have to put your movie into fullscreen then just right click on the screen and choose "Captions and Subtitles" then turn them off.. :)

Dump media player it does not work well with dvd playback. Use WinDVD or PowerDVD. These two programs will play any media file that you can think of.

    Good Luck
