processor problems

    i've got a problem with my computer people....every so often this processor (Intel(R) 82845 Processor to I/O Controller - 1A30) keeps having problems with it. i've tried to unistalling it and reinstalling it....but the same problems keeps coming back and is making my compter really slow.
    what can be causing this and how can i fix this???

    goto intel website and download, the i845 drivers and intel application accelerator for i845 chipset

    tried there site and they don't have that driver. downloaded the intel application accelerator. that just tells me what i have inside the tower.
    it's when i go to hardware in my system in control panel.the problem is not my chipset processor,the problem is under the systems devices, thats where the processor is saying that there is a problem with it.

    anyother help would be greatful
