I was just wondering, does prolonged usage of DVD Shrink destroy your DVD burner?

I don't think Shrink destroys your DVD burner. The only thing
that would hurt it is if your fan doesn't move the air enough to
keep the system cool. I usually don't run my burner over and hour
at a time without letting it sit for a while and cool off. Generating
a lot of heat over an extended period of time is what will cause
    damage to your burner.

DVD Shrink does not burn so it can't hurt your burner. Whatever program your burner is using is simply causing your burner to do exactly what it was intended to do, burn DVDs. Does this hurt it? No, but it does wear it out a bit each time you use it, like driving your car instead of leaving it parked.
