Hey, I have a newer version of the slimPs2 (like v14).

I've successfully backed up a few DVD ps2 games, but I'm having problems with Super Bust a Move 2. I'm assuming it's a CD game, as it's roughly 500MB. I also patched it with the pal2ntsc and all I get is a black screen.

Is this a problem with the picture, or is the iso itself bad?

btw, when the screen goes black, the disc continues to spin at a very high speed, letting off a lot of air. Just saying, in case it helps.

    thanks in advance!

ohhh, I'm using TDK CD-R and burning at 4x

You dont really need to patch it to ntsc unless if your tv only supports a ntsc signal, have you tried without patching it, caused a few problems with my ps2 it the past, so I stopped patching the games.

What kinda problems was it presenting you? Were you also getting a black screen?

I ask because I don't have the original iso anymore, after I patched it I thought it was the right thing to do... so I deleted the original.

Maybe it could be my write speed (x4)? Or could it be my program (imgburn)?

It seems like it's trying to work. I'm curious as to what symptoms would cause this result (black screen).

    thanks for the reply!

I definitely got a few blank screens after patching iso's, so I stopped patching them altogether, only down side was the screen was moved down slightly, but I was able to reconfig my tv for the screen to move up, so the problem was dealt with, then I ended up modding my ps2 with a matrix chip, because swap magic was really annoying. And the last time I actually bought, or backed up a ps2 game was around 1 and a half years ago, so I really cant remember exactly how it worked out.
Try burning the game at a faster speed, like 40x/48x, cd's are not really a problem, and burn the iso with dvd decrypter or nero rather than imgburn, see if that makes a difference.

Actually use nero to make the backup, I just remembered that I made all my cd-r backups using nero.
