Ps2 controller port problem

    My ps2's controller port 1 has stopped functioning while memory card slot 1 still functions .... i cant afford to get it replaced as i have invested too much in the console....can anyone tell me what could be the problem or how could i repair it ... a guide would be helpful..

    you can get another one on ebay for 15 usd.

    Switching out controllers are so easy. Just get a compatible ps2 controller port and swap it out. The cable is easy to remove since it is only attached using a plastic clip (not too hard or you will break it). You do need to remove the 2 yellow srews that held on to the ps2.

    (Only the thick model. Slim model is mounted onboard, so no solution there!)
