This is to anyone else with a US v9.

The new Dvd features added to the v9, the Dvd program, repeat, shuffle, A,B point setting, etc, are these exclusive to the v9 or did the V7 have them as well?

Also, was progressive scan or improved dvdrw support included on the v7 or only on the v9.

    Thanks.

How do I know if I have a V9. I believe that it is but I cannot tell. Also do the V9s play MP3s or burned CDs.

The other things you would only know about if you hit select when a dvd movie is playing to turn on captions, change language, etc. The v1-6 had 3 lines of functions, the v9 added a fourth line with a repeat function, shuffle function, etc.

What I wanted to know was if the v7 had these added functions also.

You'll know if you have a v9 if on the box the model number is SCPH-5000*. Mine is a SCPH-50001, for example. The v7 would be SCPH-3900*.
