    You need a modchip. www.modchips.com.
Thats the only way, no other way around it. Buy it, install it and then you can play them.

Look and search for no solder modchips on the internet.
I think they are easy to install and no soldering required..

    To CoPeDoGg:

You can only copy CD-based games (check the original disc) with your CD-writer.
You can copy them with CloneCD (and ClonyXXL) on regular (darksided) cd-r.
You can copy DVD games onto CD-r what I don't want to go in that matter. If you want to copy DVD based games, just buy a DVD burner.

BTW you can only play copied games when you have a modchip.

Where did you get it ?
    Internet ? or store ?

I guess this combination needs a swap... GS2 1.7 (or higher) or Magic boot CD/DVD ?

PS2 Cd based games you can burn on a normal CD-r (most likely with a darksided backside) with a regular CD-writer.
PS2 DVD based games you can burn on DVD media such as DVD-r or +r (+rw) but you need a DVD writer for these burns.

    I use CD-r - Parrot (black backside)
    I use DVD+r/+rw - Platinum DVD 4.7gb +r and +rw
