PS2 Games on PS3

    I am totaly new and this is my first post.

    I bought PS3 40GB. Can i play PS2 games on PS3 and also can i copy PS2 games on PS3 hard drive...?

    No you cannot copy the PS2 games to the hard drive and the only way you can play backed up PS2 games on a PS3 is by using swap switch. There's a tutorial stickied at the top of the PS3 forum. It involves soldering and cutting the top of your PS3 open so I'd advise you not to do it unless you have lots of experience.

    You bought the 40 gig. It has no ps2 compatability.

    true true, it annoys me when people go on about tht, y buy a £300-£350 ultimate gaming machine to play ps2 or ps1 games on :S:S realy confuses me tbh lol.

    its like buying a ferrari f430 n putting a ford escort engine in it tbh,
