Wow, it's been a while. So a friend and I recently installed a Duo 3 Gold chip in my PS2 (V7). Go to turn on the PS2 today and the screen shows nothing. No sound, no video. PS2 powers on, fan spins, disc spins, lights work, etc...any ideas? I think it may be a loose cable, but is there anything else I can check for with minimal dissassembly? (We're going back to review all the wiring tomorrow, since I don't trust myself to do it *by* myself.)

Remove the 3.3v & ground wires from the chip and see what happens. If the PS2 works, then the chip or installation is faulty. If the PS2 is still not working, remove all the wires and test. If it's still not working, the chip killed your console. I’m afraid there is no minimal disassembly or easy way when it comes to this type of problem.
