Ok this is my first time ever having a backup of a ps2 game. It is in .gi format and i was wondering if i can just play it with a ps2 emulator without modifying the file, and if so any emulators you know of that can do this, or any other info about this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

So the one I downloaded wont work eh? Any idea when one will become available that works. Would it be able to play .gi files? Sorry for my ignorance but i dont know much about ps2 or console game rips

when a working ps2 emulator comes out, it will be able to play your file. but i think you would have to have a virtual drive. a virtual drive is just like a cd reader drive but it reads images (iso, bin, cue etc.)not real cds. so you would have the virtual drive read your .gi and you would start the emulator and say that the cd is in the virtual drive. i hope i made sense.
