Hi, I'm new to all of this so please go easy on me and try not to use to many long word or technical jargon. I have recenctly got in to the whole ps2 hd thing and need some help.

I bought a (fat) modded ps2, a 120gb maxtor hd, an offical ps2 network adaptor, an offical ps2 network access disc and hd advance 3.0.

I tried to convert my original pal version on "Monster Hunter" to the hard drive using the inclosed instructions, which seemed to work fine, but then when i tried to run it the screen just goes black and nothing else happens! I tried the same thing with my original pal version of "Resident Evil 4" and it worked fine.

Am i doing something wrong or is it just the game? and if so is there a way i can download it and save it to the ps2 hard drive instead?

Once again i am what you call a "noob" and as such as green as ill cabbage. So please be gentle. Thanx.

Some game needs to be patched in order to work. In the case of the "black screen," monster hunter is not going to work unless it's patch. I'm not going to get into details because patching can get really deep. Try googling it. Use a combination of keywords like: PS2 "monster hunter" patch , ect... You get the idea. Plus after you get it working, don't hope to get online with it. It will not work unless you have the original game.
