yes, the original ps2 hd is pretty much worthless (unless you love ffxi or want the new socom maps).

You can get HDLoader here: http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/customer/search.php?substring=hdloader&in_category=1 . Hurry up and grab one for yourself, because I heard that they are going to be discontinued.

I don't know where you can get HDAdvance, but I suggest getting [bold]HDLoader[/bold], because it has less bugs and loads much faster.

In case you didn't know, HDAdvance is a hacked version of HDLoader. The only advantage of HDAdvance that I know of is that it supports HD's up to 200GB, while HDLoader can only utilize up to 137GB.

I'm pretty sure that you cannot save music and movies on your HDD via HDLoader, and that HDLoader is strictly for saving PS2 games onto your HDD. Maybe PS1 games? Can anyone verrify this for me?

I think what punx777 meant to say was that you don't need a 120GB HDD, unless you want to save entire PS2 games onto it (which is what HDLoader does). 120GB is [bold]way[/bold] too much memory if you're only using it for online gaming.

sure is, since you can't use a non sony hd for online gaming anyways.
