I have a Fujitsu 10.8 GB hard drive I want to connect to my PS2. I saw in this forum that you need a 40+ GB HD, but at this site http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/ I saw that many people say that HD with less than 40 GB work also. So are HD with less than 40 GB not compatible at all?

Many people have reported including myself that drive less than 40GB seem to work ok. If you have one already just go ahead and try it although with 10.8GB you won't be able to fit many games onto it.

10.8 Gigs will only hold 2 games, maybe 3.

Go out and buy a drive - they are all on sale right now!

Are there any good apps like a media player or things like that who run from a HD?

Hard drives under 40gig do work. Every hard drive is different but, so not all would work. I have a working 30gig maxtor in my ps2
