What would be better a ps2 with a hard drive including hd loader or a ps2 with the matrix infinity chip? I am trying to make a decision on which route to go. Thanks for your input ahead of time.

    Both!

If you get the chip, you only need the free ps2ownz version of HDloader off of supernova, evening out the cost, and then pick up a HD when you find a good deal.

    I have a 120G 7200rpm 8Mg cache HD - Maxtor - works like a freaken dream! (zero load time!)

    Cheers.

Brad is right, but if your not into the import games at all or getting games ahead of time, then just get hd loader.
With the Matrix Infinity you can put Hd loader on your memory card and not use the Hd loader cd-r or dvd any more.
