    Hello all.

I tried to make a backup of a PS2 DVD import that I own.

The problem is that my swap magic doesn't seem to like reading import back ups. I've made a backup of my NTSC format R-Type Final using DVD decrypter and the back up played fine. I'm using Verbatim 16x DVD-R made in Taiwan.

Is there something that prevents me from copying my imported backups from playing on my system, do I need to patch my NTSC-J imports?

I can't seem to get them to play fine. I tried to play a backup of an import and the game will load, and it loads extremely slow. Took me about 5 minutes to read the disc, then it loads, and then to load again it takes another 5 minutes.

Is there a trick to playing backed up DVD import games?

I try to use Alchohol 120 to do my back-ups most of the time. Sometimes I get strange backups using DVD Decrypter. It happened to me with Garou Battle Archives 2(import). Check your settings as well with DVD Decrypter too, for that was the case with me. Verbatim is a good brand I hear, so if that's not the problem, then it might be the way you backed it up.

Also what game exactly are you trying to back up, that could give us more info to see if I or anyone else can help.

Trying to play KOF XI backup but it won't work. I think I need to use DVD shrink, perhaps?
