    Hey guys,

has anyone had any experience in using Swap magic 3.3, dvd region free v2 by Blaze, dvd region X or DVD Region Free?

I have the new slim ps2s and i would like to watch Region 3 movies.. i prefer to have use the swap magic 3.3 if i could cuz then i can play backup games and dvd movies from different regions.

    Any Input? any advise?

    Thanks!

You can pick up action replay and ebgames.

Its DVD Region X works fine.

    Indeed!
The only options are Action Replay (wich includes DVD region free), or DVD Region free...

AR is there just if you need all those game cracks, and DVD region free only plays DVD's....

I've got ARV2, with DVD Region player, and it works fine!

It can play from region 1, 3 or 4 (I'm in Region 2, PAL), and the only issue is taht i need to get a cable so i can see the movies in full color in my PAL TV...
With the regular cable from the PS2 the movies where played black & white...

I guess you would be better with DVD Region free, if you don't need all the cracks of AR...

By the way, the brand new AR MAX also has this, and it seems to have a converter for playing NTSC movies in PAL PS2...

I wonder if someone can share some lights here....

    uummmmmm???
are you talking about playing backup dvd movies?
if so,not sure you will need region x
whilst ripping to hardrive you can make it region free

its got me thinking there, not something i have thought about......
    i will post back

If the backup is PAL, i can directly play it, but since a lot came from Orient and USA, i need DVD region free to remove the Macrovision and play them in my PAL PS2 in full color....

Some backups when not using the DVD region free play on green color, or black and white...

In fact, you only need DVD Region free for "legal" coded movies and to watch backups in full color, since backups can be watched anywhere and in almost any regular DVD player.

Maybe you could get better prices in Chinese and Hong Kong sites, if you can get them through customs...
