Im selling my PS2. At first i didnt realize it wasn't reading games. MY console is not modded so i whipped the cover off, and using Compressed air gave the thing a good blast. I then used some IPA and a cotton bud to clean the laser lens. Well it was half a success. When i put the game in, it still spins it round slowley and the laser makes a noise as if there is liquid on the lens and the laser is boiling it off. Then it stops spins the disc and boots up fine. Sometimes though i switched it on and it loads up fine first time without this. When it loads up its totally fine - plays for hours no problems.

So does anyone know what could be up. Its a V4 PS2 and im not a heavy gamer.

could just be that the laser needs to be adjusted. That can cause it to have problems reading disc correctly at times.
