The picture above is of one of the 3 ps2 censors being taped down. I taped that piece down in my console. A few days ago it stopped reading my discs, so I opened it up to see what was wrong, and I removed the tape from the censor, and the peice was broken. Is there anyway to fix this? Can I buy the peice?

    Thanks

    Try gluing it?
Or search for another console and use it for parts.

I threw the piece away since it was useless. I guess I should've kept it. Would it be ok if i put a peice of plastic or something?

I'm sure it is NOT working and no just a piece of plastic isn't going to make it work. You said you had it taped down. By taping it down you are forcing it make a connection to the contacts,
(it's a switch) just replace the part (switch) with some small wire connecting the the contacts. You just have to figure out which way.
It will be the same as taping, be careful.
