Any idea how i can back up a PS2 purple disc, the one in question isCrash Bandicoot the wrath of cortex (platinum).
Dvd de-crypter will not read the disc?
    Any news would be great.

Purple CD's arent DVD discs that why DVD Dycrypter can't read them. You can just make a 1:1 copy of it using Nero on a normal CD.

I really dont see whats so hard you put a blank cd in to your cd burner. Then you put the original game in to your other drive. Then you open Nero (make sure you are on the slot that says cd). Then you say copy disc. I have a feeling your booting the disc wrong so tell me how you're booting it.

every time i go to copy on nero it just saves a nero image file on my computer and when i try burning that file onto a disc it just wont work on my PS2, all my other games work fine on it as its chipped its just these purple discs.

Check mark by the thing that says copy on the fly that way doesnt make the image just makes an exact copy.

Dont know if theres something wrong with my copy of nero but when i press burn it does the process but the busy light on my burner does not light up as though its just not burning anything?
Its not my burner thats broke as it works fine burning other ps2 discs??

can you copy any cd with any of your programs? You just need to do a direct copy to a blank cd.

Just tried again using record now DX which is my normal cd burner and it seems to burn the disc ok as an exact copy onto a normal CD-R but the PS2 will not read it.
    Should it??
