PS2 Read Disk Error

    Hi i have a Version 4 PS2 that is NTSC Format and when i put a disk in it says

    Read Disk Error

    to any disk i put in
    please help

    Either your laser is faulty/completely gone or the game your trying to play is scratched up way too badly for the PS2 to be able to read it

    I think the Laser Arm Has broken the game is not scratched at all

    If the game isnt scratched, then its most likely the laser.

    When did u buy the PS2?

    Even worst now no screen :( i think that its not the laser its the Laser arm

    no screen......your ps2 is dead looks like it.

    check if the fan is turning on

    The Fan is turning on and the AV cable is ok because i tested it on my other PS2

    normally the when you start the ps2 the blue light comes on for the eject button but there is no blue light as well

    looks like your ps2 motherboard is either faulty or damaged. Looks like you'll have to get a new one bro.

    Thanks I will try and ask my friend to fix it because he chips PS2s and i am not too bothered about the PS2 i got it off a friend for free because he said you can have it if you can fix it. I got my own PS2 :)

    I have fixed this problem on many many ps2 units; just adjust your laser voltage (in this case you will want to adjust both the dvd and cd voltage).
