    Hello everybody,

Ive recently noticed that with the ps2 reality players some xvid and divx movie files dont work properly and seem to pause for a few seconds and then unpause. It seems like it is skipping. Has anybody experiencedd this, if so is there a solutions?

I've never liked the ps2 reality media player. If I want to watch movies on my ps2, I just convert 'em to a dvd-compliant format and burn to dvd which I find alot easier, albeit a bit more time consumng, than the ps2 reality media player.

uhmm @wulfie...thank you...not. No i think i solved the problem, the problem lies with the resolution and bitrate. I think they were too hígh for the ps2. Could someone tell me the max resolution and bitrate that should be used to play divx xvid vids on the ps2 and which software will convert them. I was trying to play rurouni kenshin samurai x and chris rock bigger and blacker(movies i got from the net).

@wulfie: converting to dvd compliant takes too long, and no, my computer is very fast! Plus there is no need in wasting dvd blanks and divx and xvids are much smaller, thus less time to burn and download. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Dont know sh!t[/small]

Hey guys, new at this ps2 mediaplayer deal.
I'm using 1.28e for the mediaplayer. Burn with
    cdrwin5.0 (works well so far)
Problem: Just stays at buffer loading...

What I'm trying to do: play a xvid movie
    Specs are:

    File size: 714Megs

    Video
    Frame rate: 596 x 256; 23.976fps
    Compression: xVID mpeg-4 codec
    Data rate: 767kbps

    Audio
    Sample rate: 48000hz
    Compression: Mpeg-layer3
    Data rate: 129kbps

    What I've tried to do:
    1. Burned at a lower speed (8x)..no go
    2. Split the divx file ...turns out not an
    overburn problem
    3. Burned with mode2 and mode1..not it
    4. Compared with a non xvid video with
almost exactly same specs..that one worked
    fine.

    Any ideas EXPERTS? heh
