Ps2 repair

    ok ive had my ps2 for a really long time now......(one of the first ones that came out)..............all of a sudden it started making horrible clicking sounds when it was trying to read "any" type of disc ............i just wanted to no wut wuz up w/ my ps2......thanx

    If you had one of the very first PS2 systems there is nothing you can really do to fix it.The very first PS2 systems can't have laser adjustments done to them,cause they reset back to the default settings.I never messed with one of the very first releases of the PS2 systems,but from what I have been reading on them a V1-v3 are the worse to have.It sounds like the laser is off track,and if you try to adjust it the laser will reset back to its default state.The best thing to do is check what version it is,if it is indeed one of the versions I mentioned then your better off trashing it.
