ps2 Slimline Help

    i recently had a ps2 slimline which i had no power lead for but i testedmy mates original power cables the console turned on no problems but now i sold it (without the cables) they say the console does not turn on atall could this have been caused for getting a 3rd party power adapter?

    If the third party power adapter was designed for the ps2, it should not cause any problems, but if it wasn't, then it can cause many problem, if it doesnt provide enough voltage/current, the ps2 wont power on, and excess voltage/current can blow the fuse on the ps2's motherboard.
