Is it possible that some PS2's won't work with any chip.It has been chipped with different chips and my v3 PS2 never worked.
They are now trying to install the messiah.
    has anyone heard this before?A PS2 that can't be chipped?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Den Plaatselijke Dorpsidioot[/small]

Only if the laser assembly is so marginal it can't read backups.
Perhaps you should choose a place that can calibrate and check out your laser assembly when they do the mod.

I don't know anything about the Matrix.
I don't know of any reason other than the laser assembly for a v3 not working with a mod.
You should use -R's +R's probably won't work with v3.
Doesn't mean there isn't something but I don't know of any reason.
If you get a Messiah 2 or a Magic 3.1 and the install is done correctly It should work.
