I have a v4 ps2 I've been using a no solder mod for about 1 month now and my ps2 just died. I checked the fuse it's good there's power coming in but it does turn on.

Could be your LASER. Do you get the dreadful "Disc Read Error" when trying to boot games?

Blown fuse, no-solder mods are known to cause fuses to blow.

icemonkey isn't talking about the main fuse he's talking about the surface mount fuses on the mainboard, have you checked them

Strange how I have had a No Solder mod for over 2 years and no fuses have blown?

Just because you have a no-solder mod doesn't mean that your fuse is 100% sure to blow but rather it's much more likely to blow. I lost two machines this way and others here have as well. Too much of a coincidence to not be a pattern.
