I got a PS2 chipped with the Magic3 chip from Divineo.com about a year ago. I meant to get a DVD burner to backup my games but never did until recently. However, now when I try to play backup DVD's (DVD-R) in my PS2, it doesn't read the disc. I haven't tried backup PS2 games yet, but I am assuming that I will have the same result as trying a DVD-R backup of a DVD. It plays original DVD's and PS2 games fine. My PS2 is version SCPH-39001, if it matters. So far, I have tried backing up my DVD's on a LG 8x burner using media from COMPUSA.

CompUSA media is probably too poor quality. Their CD media never worked for me in the past and I don't think much has changed since.
