i found a file titled ps2bbdb2k on the net and when i exctract it there is 3 things a read only file saying that it is a ps2 boot disc and 2 more files one file is iph-bcdr bin file and is 49,000 kb in size and the other file is iph -bcdr.cue, cue file 1kb in size
i copied both files to a cd-r disc and put it in my ps2 the systme made a few sounds like the disc couldnt be read then the redish colored screen came up saying to insert a playstion 2 disck or somthing like that.....my question is is this an actual boot disk, do i need only one of the files, or is this a bad file????any help would be greatly appriceatied

The only ps2 boot discs that I know of are the cheat code boot discs(Gameshark/Action Replay, Codebreaker) and the swap magic discs so no it probably isn't a legit boot disc. Second of all, if it were a legit boot disc then you would need a modchip or fliptop/slide with swap magic to boot it up anyway. That also means that if you get modchip or fliptop/slide with smd then there would be no need for a boot disc. Basically you are wasting your time with this so called "boot disc"...
