What cable will give me 1080p output on my PS3? I know HDMI will but will I get 1080p from component?

    Thanks in advance.

It will with games but not with movies. But it might not with either if your TV doesn't accept 1080p through component.

Thanks for the quick response. My TV does and will accept 1080p although I think my TV isn't too keen on it. I may try another HDMI cable and see if thats the problem.

I played a blu-ray disk movie for the first time and I was having some issues. It seemed like everything that was black in color would have a blue fuzzy pattern on top. Sorry don't know how to describe it.

    Thanks
Maybe I will also try switching the PS3 to 720p and see how the movie plays.

So component will only give me 720p with blu ray movies? or 1080i as well?

    Thansk

I think so, I'm not sure really, it might be just 480p. All because of HDCP
