I just got an 80GB PS3 and would like to transfer all my data (Demos, Game saves, Music, Videos) from my 60GB PS3 to the new 80GB PS3.

Does anybody know how to do that and can give me a step-by-step tutorial or any link to instructions on how to do so.

    Thanks.

If you have an external harddrive backup your files on your 60gb unit then restore it to the 80. Also make sure you sign into your 60gb playstation network account on your 80gb unit.

    I tried that.

I used the "back up" option in the system settings and backed up everything fine. But when i go to the "restore" option on the 80GB PS3, it said there is nothing to restore.

You could try some imaging software (on your PC of course). Make an image of the old drive, and copy the image to the new one. It may work, may not. Thats the only way I would think it would work.
