I am trying to hook up my ps3 to my Soniq LCD40 TV using hdmi. When the ps3 is displayed on the screen it’s all green(only green during games not in menu or when playing DVD with ps3, haven’t tested bluray movie yet). I had set it to the appropriate resolution 1080i but it still goes green. Neither the TV or ps3 hdmi ports are damaged tried the ps3 out using a bravia screen and it worked fine with HDMI and I have been using a pioneer DVD player with my TVs HDMI input with no problem of the green picture. Also is there a way of changing the resolution of HDMI while your using component as video signal? Considering my TV doesn’t display 1080p anyway should I even bother using HDMI the component seems to be looking fine does anyone know if HDMI looks a lot better?

    Thanks

Hey i too am having this problem. i have the 32 inch soniq and the ps3 goes all green when i try to use hdmi. have you found any way of fixing this at all? i have looked on other sites and their suggestions were to make sure all the cables were connected and hold the power button on the ps3 for 5 secs.....should beep twice, and it should configure to the tv's settings. But that didn't work.

Nah I have had no luck either. I’m just going to use the component.

I went and bought a HD Component Cable from kmart which supports 480P, 720P, 1080I and 1080P. it let me set everything up correctly and my highest setting is now 1080I. haven't really had a chance to play any games on it though, but it is not green or anything. The cable only cost $20.

That’s exactly what I am using I think the cable brand I have is Mad Catz. Anyway everything is crystal clear on the cable, I am using 1080i as well. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is a bluray disk well I am waiting for my casino royal disk.

    Cheers
