Can I get online with my PS3 using Wi-Fi Max?

I sort have have already, becuase I can access the browserand search for Firmware updates, but when I try to connect to PS3 Network it just gives and error sayin 80210102 or somthin like that.

And obviously, without signin up on PSN, I can't play games online.

    Anyone got any tips?

Do an internet connection test under network settings and see what NAT type you are running. NAT type is one of the following:
1-you are connected straight to a modem
2-you are using a router and it is forwarding traffic properly
3-you are using a router and it is NOT forwarding traffic properly

If you have an NAT type 3, go into your router and enable UPnP which will let the PS3 control what ports to forward. If your router doesn't have this, you need to forward some ports to your PS3. I'm not sure exactly which ones, but you can find them online or just call Sony and they have a list of which ones.

It's not a specific router, Wi-Fi MAX is a USB device you plug into your computer and the PS3 connects to the hotspot.
