I am using a 1.5 firmware psp and have devhook v.46 installed. I have recently acquired metal gear and it needs firmware 2.81 to run. My question is can i update my firmware in devhook to 3.01 or better to accommodate for the update in the game since my devhook has firmware up to 2.71? I came across a devhook firmware installer v0.6b can i use that to upgrade my firmware in v.46? I am a noobie and would like some help with devhook and psp. Thank you so much

yes u can search around for devhook .52 or look at custom firmware

with custom firmware u can load iso/cso without devhook and play PSX games (converted to eboot of course)

use hexitnow's 3.03 OE-C wininstaller, you dont even need devhook just put the iso into the iso folder and boom it comes up in memory stick
