    Hey
i just bought a PSP about 3 days ago.. all it came with in the box was an instruction manual, a brochure to other sony info, and the power cord in 2 pieces.

I have a spare USB cable that connects from USP to the PSP usb outlet, but i would like to know how do i use it? i plugged it in nothing happened though.. (PSP was ON)

Do you use any software to d/l it to your PSP? i wanna put music/video files on it...

    - basiclly what djmazz said and if you want to upload videos onto it i recommend using pspvideo9 to convert it to mpeg4. Then just follow these steps on this link http://ezinearticles.com/?How-To-Put-Videos-On-PSP&id=243594 and thats it.

better still if youv got custom firmware or v1.5. use PSPlayerMT.you dont need to convert to mpeg4 then, it supports various file formats, avi etc.
    less hastle than converting
