psp movie formats the same as ipod videos?

    hey,

    My uncles getting a ipod video only if u can play psp format movies on the ipod. for instance, if i have a .mp3 or .mp4 movie already converted for psp will it play on the ipod video?

    yeah it will work. both formats are .mp4

    Not necessarily, Video ipods do play MPEG4 videos but different standards, the PSP supports H.264, AVC and MPEG 4 Part 2 and the audio has to be in a compatible format for the PSP as well (MP3, WMA, AAC).

    I dunno what the Video ipod supports but you wouldn't be able to just interchange videos between the ipod and the PSP I think, I've tried playing videos for the PSP in Video ipod format and sometimes they did work other times they were unsynchronized or had errors or didn't work at all.
