    Hi everyone,

I have bought a second hand PSP (2003) about a month ago and it turned out that the person who sold it to me was a fraud,as he didn't tell me anything about the charging issue.

Anyway,i took the device to a repair shop and they told me that the motherboard is broken (PSP charger circuit) and that i will need a new motherboard.Getting a new motherboard would probably cost same much i paid for the PSP,and now i am barely holding myself not to throw my PSP to wall and break it into pieces.

I really need help here..what should i do with my PSP ?

    Charging is controlled by

    1) The socket - is this still soldered in place correctly (no dry joints) has it any damage to the socket

    2) If the above is OK time to open up the PSP and check the charging fuse, this is in slightly different places for each model of motherboard, however google will help you with the locations (you will need a multimeter / continuity tester to test the fuse

    3) With a multimeter you can follow the circuit and test each component.

    4) Buy a spare battery and battery charger
