Yes, my video cam can only output .WMV. I tried to convert it into .AVI but still cannot be taken by adobe primere. Primere says 'File uses an unsupported compression format'

Not many converter can convert .WMV into .MP3, .WAV or .MPEG

    Please advised.

    * My camcoder is Sony - DCR-TRV20E PAL

I've already commented elsewhere on the tiring, long way I used to do this, via MS encoder and VirtualDub, but Nero claim the following:

"Are you tired of watching your .mpg, .avi, .mov (Quicktime 5 not yet supported), .asf or .wmv video files on your PC? With the brand new Nero MPEG-2/SVCD encoder you can burn video files to SVCD and watch them on all SVCD compatible DVD players. Take your video files to the home theatre screen and enjoy the SVCD experience. If you thought video on CD stopped at VCD, you don´t know what you´ve been missing!"

I'd be very interested if this works. Anyone willing to have a go?
